Our Affiliations and Collaborators

National Institute of Health (NIH)

The NIH is home to one of the largest neuroscience research centers in the world. Over 150 laboratories, originating from eleven different Institutes, conduct research in the basic, translational, and clinical neurosciences.

Through scientific collaboration, Pre- and Postdoctoral Training Programs, jointly sponsored Seminar Series and Special Interest Groups, scientists at NIH contribute to a vital and growing neuroscience research community.

The Annenberg Foundation

The Annenberg Foundation was established in 1989 with $1.2 billion.  Ambassador Annenberg endowed chairs at more than a dozen colleges; and n 1993, the Foundation made a staggering commitment to public education with one of the largest gifts in philanthropic history: the $500 million  Annenberg Challenge for School Reform, which worked to revive and inspire public school reform in eighteen sites across the nation.

  • Reading Comprehension
  • Test Anxiety
  • Note Taking

Retraining Thoughts:  By addressing your fears, you can reduce the “power” that anxiety has over you. You will learn a number of techniques to conquer fear around test taking, asking for help, etc.. Some students may require additional training by our staff (e.g., Cognitive Behavioral Therapy).

Effective Study Skills: You will address how to be prepared and use Executive Function techniques to be effective, efficient, and confident learners.

Practice Tests: Practice tests are available to all students so that you will know what the tests look like, what to expect, test-taking strategies, and how to budget your time.

Self-Advocacy: We will address strategies to ask for help when you need it and to get that help in and out of class.
