Retraining Thoughts: By addressing your fears, you can reduce the “power” that anxiety has over you. You will learn a number of techniques to conquer fear around test taking, asking for help, etc.. Some students may require additional training by our staff (e.g., Cognitive Behavioral Therapy).
Effective Study Skills: You will address how to be prepared and use Executive Function techniques to be effective, efficient, and confident learners.
Practice Tests: Practice tests are available to all students so that you will know what the tests look like, what to expect, test-taking strategies, and how to budget your time.
Self-Advocacy: We will address strategies to ask for help when you need it and to get that help in and out of class.
